Product Description
Ajwain (Trachyspermum ammi), also known as carom seeds, is a small, herbaceous plant valued for its aromatic leaves and seeds. It typically grows up to 60–90 cm tall, with finely divided, feathery green leaves resembling those of coriander. The plant produces small white flowers arranged in umbrella-like clusters called umbels. Ajwain thrives in warm, dry climates and requires well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight. Its leaves have a strong, thyme-like fragrance due to the presence of thymol, a key essential oil. Both the leaves and seeds are widely used in cooking and traditional medicine. Ajwain is known for its digestive, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. The plant is relatively easy to grow in home gardens or pots, needing moderate watering and minimal care. Regular pruning encourages bushier growth and healthier foliage, making it a practical and beneficial addition to any herbal garden.
