Product Description
The Loquat is a small evergreen fruit tree belonging to the rose family. Native to China and widely cultivated in Japan, it grows up to 5–10 meters tall. The plant has large, glossy, dark green leaves that are leathery and slightly hairy underneath. It produces small, fragrant white flowers during autumn or early winter.
The fruit is round to oval, yellow or orange in color, and measures about 3–5 cm in diameter. It has a sweet to mildly tangy taste, similar to apricot or peach, and contains one to five large seeds. Loquat thrives in warm, subtropical climates with well-drained soil and moderate watering. It is commonly eaten fresh and also used in jams, jellies, and desserts, making it both a nutritious and ornamental plant.
